The Food Wave project for ActionAid
The Food Wave initiative, developed for ActionAid, was launched in 2020 to raise awareness and engage young people aged 18 to 35 on the impact of sustainable food consumption and urban food policies. It brought together 29 partners, including local authorities, civil society organisations, and citizens' networks, from 16 European countries and one non-European country.
With a strong digital presence through a dedicated website and social media channels, the campaign focused on a positive, direct, and engaging approach. Among the activities promoted were visual art competitions and initiatives targeting young people in urban outskirts, the co-creation of educational materials to support awareness and mobilisation campaigns, and the involvement of food creators.
